You have to study and find a niche product. What is a niche? A niche can be thought of as a market within a market. It is a group of people who are looking for a solution to their problem. A simple example would be a group people who like cars. If we break it down further, people who like old vintage Ford cars. That would be a niche. This is just a silly example though.

You should now decide on your product or service in which you are going to promote. Most beginners and in fact myself, use affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is the process of selling a product of someone else and earning a commission from that product. Most of the time, you do not even need a website to do this. That is what is so great about this. Heck, you do not even have to deal with the customer, you just collect payments.

Next you begin to drive traffic to your sales page which is either provided to you, or created by you on your website. You will also want to begin capturing visitor names and emails so as to allow you to create trust between you and your visitors. If your visitors trust you and you provide them with quality content, you will make sales.

You are going to want to make a list of keywords which are targeted. Keywords are words that people use to search in the search engines. Find words related to your product or service and base your website or sales copy around those words. Look to provide benefits to the user, instead of focusing on all the bells and whistles of the product you are promoting. If you follow these simple examples, you will be a success.
