Pinoy entrepreneurs: what business do you have in mind that targets the niche market?

***a business that focuses on a niche market is addressing a need for a product or service that is not being addressed by mainstream providers – Wikipedia

More of a blue ocean strategy, rather than being in red oceans which are full of competitors, price cuts, lower margins…

C’mon lets share, learn and discover

Andamot mo Anne C, share mo nga, please =)
Hi sweet pork friend oink, thanks for your thoughts and I do agree with them. I am not soliciting for myself by the way so you might as well share yours =p

I am just soliciting the thoughts and creativity of others here =)

i’ve never seen a successful entrepreneur who wasnt literally inlove with his business. He has to know the insides and outs of it by heart.

And seriously, it is a bit hard to give specific biz suggestions tailored-fit for someone whom you do not know. What I would suggest is for you to sit one day, and ask yourself what are your passions and interests. If you’re into pets, or into food, or into sports. Then follow that lead.

If you are considering niche marketing then, you’d have to be extremely keen in observing the trend in your chosen business line. You should have the eye for the "missing links" in the current business swings. E.g. if you plan to invest in a catering biz, you might consider a more healthy menu selections for the health conscious, and you may concentrate on the vegetarians and health buffs as your target market.

Or you may do it the other way around. Choose a distinguishable market segment, (that has a lot of potentials) and think of a product for them. E.g. High-end pet owners — you may consider setting up a pet daycare center (niche isnt it? :p ) There are bachelors/bachelorettes and or families that might need these kind of services while they are away on a trip or something.

Hungry na me. Lunch muna. Good luck po sa business!

I run my own business. My schedule is flexible but still exhausting to the point I get only 5 to 6 hours of sleep daily. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’d rather slave for my own than slave for some other man. At least, whatever output I get is through the input I give on my business. And more importantly, I have no one to tell me what to do.

Yes, I do get a share of the market in my neighborhood despite the presence of competitors. But I believe that it is how you are good at dealing with your customers, one who is approachable and lends an ear to their complaints that they keep coming back. It is also important to be funny.
